HealthCare Partners offers a Senior Comprehensive Health Screening exam to all Medicare patients—no matter when their Medicare coverage began. The examination will thoroughly review your health status and will include education and counseling about the preventive services you might need—like certain screenings and shots, and referrals for other care. This screening is a great way to get up to date on important screenings and shots and to talk with the clinician about your family history and how to stay healthy.
The screening exam includes checking of
- Vital signs
- Height and weight
- Health history
- Hearing and vision
- Gait (walking ability)
- Memory
As well, the clinician will
- Assess your medications—prescription, over-the- counter, and herbal supplements
- Analyze your daily nutrition and check your body mass index.
- Obtain screening labs, including EKG and lung function (spirometry)
- Perform osteoporosis, arterial pulse, skin cancer, and early depression screening
- Note your functional status
You will be given a complete report of screening results, as well as a written list of recommendations and referrals, including
